Description

A magical homage to Brian Fantana....

HELP SUPPORT TAPPEDOUT+

This only works if you get Countryside Crusher (11.67% chance) in your opening hand and your opponent doesn't counter/destroy etc...

(If you get Fatal Frenzy in your opening hand or draw it before you draw Countryside Crusher, you lose.)

Turn 3 play Countryside Crusher.

Turn 4 mill until you get Fatal Frenzy then swing for the win.

To test it out, restart or mulligan until you get Countryside Crusher in your hand, or right click on the library, scroll down and put it directly into your hand.

I understand I can add cards to this deck and beef it up, however, this deck was designed to mill without stopping until you hit Fatal Frenzy then swing for an outrageous amount of life. It's a one shot deal with an 11.67% chance of working in your opening draw.

I did not create the Countryside Fling combo. I don't know who did. This is my version of the Countryside combo.

Sooooo i may or may not have brought this to the table at an FNM modern version... game 1, bounced. Game 2, won. Game 3, bounced. Loss. Second one, bolted before he could get buffed, happened twice. Third round, player conceded cuz he laughed too hard and had to sit in the bathroom due to peeing himself XD

After calculating a bit i found that most values here are wrong (11.666...% ignored mulligans and the additional 2/3 cards you get till round four, 18.333...% ignored mulligans also booth ignored the chance of drawing booth cards). For this calculation I assumed the following: if you don't have Countryside Crusher and only mountains you mulligan. You stop mulliganing when you have either 2 (when going first) or 1 card (when going second) left, then you draw 2 or 3 cards depending on your starting position till round 3. So these are the values I got for getting to 1 Countryside Crusher and 3 mountains on turn 3.

  • list text hereGoing first: 36.6502839%
  • list text hereGoing second: 38.6483949%

This of course neglects any positioning of Fatal Frenzy in the rest of the deck

Fun deck. I tried this on xmage and pissed all of my opponents. Lost once due to over mulligan (3 or 4x i think) then drawing the instant on turn 2. But I won at turn 4 most of the time without even using the instant card.

I went 14-1 at a pro tour with this deck, no sideboard. The only person I lost to was my last round opponent, and he was playing the same deck!

For competitive play, sideboard 4 copies of Madblind Mountain. You can't lose now.

Hex_The_Cat says... #55

This is just personal suggestions, but you should concider having 15x Snow-Covered Mountain on the sideboard, just in case things get too hot with this deck.

I have made a similar deck with 53 forests where the object is to prevent damages with constant mists and then with reclaim win, a peasant deck. It's funny win with decks different than the others
