Wild pair ruling

Asked by manowar418 13 years ago

If I cast a 1/1 human while I have 2 [Mayor of Avabruck] in human form out as well as a [Mentor of the Meek] and a [Wild pair]. Will both Mentor and Wild pair trigger? If so I'm assuming wild pair would trigger allowing me to search for a 2, and if not then wild pair would trigger allowing me to search for a 6? Thank you in advance.

Mayor of Avabruck  Flip  FlipMTG Card: Howlpack Alpha - Mentor of the Meek - Wild Pair . Need TWO brackets on either side to make the links work.

Mentor of the Meek will not trigger because the human will enter as a 3/3 because of two Mayors' presence. Wild Pair will allow you to search for a 3/3 as well.

It would allow me to search for a creature with any combination of power and toughness that adds to 6, not only a 3/3, correct?

Oh, yes, you're correct. Total of 6. So 2/4, 1/5, 0/6 etc. all fine.

Ok, thank you for you're assistance, and reminding me about the brackets. :)
