Who gets the creature after Assault Suit dies?

Asked by Dredge4life 8 years ago

I Putrefy Assault Suit during my main phase, while I control my opponents Zurgo Helmsmasher. Do I keep the Zurgo, or does he go back to my opponent?

Note that Assault Suit's control changing trigger has a temporary effect. It has a built-in limitation ("until end of turn"). Even if Assault Suit is destroyed while the control changing effect is in effect, the creature still returns when the limitation built into the ability is met, because the ability acts independently of the suit's state once it has triggered.

I forget the exact term for this... not delayed trigger? I'm another user sure will remember.

Oh, but note you'll no longer be kept from sacrificing the creature or not attacking Assault Suit's controller (or planeswalkers).

It's called a duration. It portrays how long an effect will take place until it simply ceases. Banishing Light has a duration on it. It's effect is active until it leaves the battlefield.

Woo thanks, I forget the terms for this kind of stuff all the time. I should specifically look up the terms for components of abilities like this sometime and study it.
