"Whenever ____ becomes blocked," Questions.

Asked by BruhYouFarted 2 years ago

Lets say I channel Shinen of Life's Roar onto a Ichorclaw Myr. I swing in, and they are forced to block with all of their creatures. Does the Ichorclaw Myr get buffed for each creature? Does Flanking with (for example) Mtenda Herder give all blockers -1 -1?

(If yes, I totally won't make a whole deck based off of this interaction ;).)

Unfortunately no. If one or a hundred creatures were blocking him, he would fulfill the condition of being blocked and get the +2/+2 buff. Cool idea though!

Mitenda Herder would work though I think, because it has to do with each "assigned blocker" as opposed to simply becoming blocked.

The wording you're looking for is "Whenever this becomes blocked by a creature," which will trigger for each blocking creature. Assembled Alphas, for example, can just straight-up end the game with this combo. Mtenda Herder will work as well.
