Warp World - Terastodon, enchantments with etb

Asked by Drilnoth 11 years ago

So, three player game. Player A casts Warp World (only relevant cards are mentioned here).

Player A reveals Mana Echoes and Warstorm Surge .

Player B reveals Terastodon .

Player C reveals Mana Echoes .

My understanding is that the triggers of Mana Echoes and Warstorm Surge will not go off, because the enchantments are put in after the creatures. However, Terastodon would be able to blow up those creatures because targets are chosen when the trigger goes on the stack, which will be after all the enchantments enter the battlefield. I just wanted to verify: Is this correct? It came up in a game last night and although I'm about 90% certain this is how it works, it is somewhat unintuitive so I'd like confirmation or refutation to know for the future. Thanks!

yes the creatures hit first, so the enchantments won't see them come into play.....
Terastodon can not target creatures.... but it can destroy the enchantments that just came into play, since it's ability will be put on the stack after Warp World resolves...

10/1/2009 Taking it slowly, here's what happens when Warp World resolves: 1) Each player counts the number of permanents he or she owns. 2) Each player shuffles those permanents into his or her library. 3) Each player reveals cards from the top of his or her library equal to the number that player counted. 4) Each player puts all artifact, land, and creature cards revealed this way onto the battlefield. All of these cards enter the battlefield at the same time. 5) Each player puts all enchantment cards revealed this way onto the battlefield. An Aura put onto the battlefield this way can enchant an artifact, land, or creature that was already put onto the battlefield, but can't enchant an enchantment that's being put onto the battlefield at the same time as it. If multiple players have Auras to put onto the battlefield, the player whose turn it is announces what his or her Auras will enchant, then each other player in turn order does the same, then all enchantments (both Auras and non-Auras) enter the battlefield at the same time. 6) Each player puts all of his or her other revealed cards (instants, sorceries, planeswalkers, and Auras that can't enchant anything) on the bottom of his or her library in any order.

no one will recieve priority until the spell is completed, the the enter the battlefield effects will be put on the stack

Cool, that's what I thought (the Terastodon hitting creatures thing was just a typo; I meant enchantments). Thanks!
