triple fiend hunter

Okay so i know that if you play 3 Fiend Hunter (or even Phyrexian Metamorph would work), that you enter a loop if you have the fiend hunters exile themselves. My question though, is whether you could force a tie by doing this, of course assuming your opponent had no answer to it. (and yes i know this would be mean, but i'm merely curious and i'd probably only do this if i had Champion of the Parish out to put as many counters on him as i want.)

Well the loop can end because Fiend Hunter says you MAY exile a creature. So you could use it to buff Champion of the Parish and then stop the loop whenever you want. I'm assuming you would force a tie by just continuing the exiling until your opponent quits?

When a loop of nonmandatory actions is entered, it MUST end eventually. Since you are not required to exile a creature (Fiend Hunter 's ability is a may ability), the game will not end in a draw. If you try to force your opponent to concede at an event, a judge call will likely end in a warning for you (since the game rules are clear that loops like this are not infinitely recursive, you might get hit with slow play or something of that nature).

And if you did this at a casual level I would make it a point not to play with you anymore.

I mean I would never do this, unless i wanted to throw a ton of counters on a champion, otherwise it would be just mean and pretty boring, not to mention a Tie is bad for both of you anyway right? (never played in a legit event before just fnm) Be chill dude just being a curious cat bro :)

Champions Of The Soul was a deck I built that focused on the fiend hunter combo, but it mainly used the more reliable Leonin Relic-Warder /Phyrexian Metamorph combo, unfortunately decks with this in mind are overly weak to delver and my version was also weak to wild infect, but it was still a lot of fun to play.
