Spy kit and Godsend?

If I used Magnetic Theft or some other method to attach Spy Kit to an opponent's creature and then blocked it with Godsend, would my opponent not be able to cast any non legendary creatures?

Godsend exiles the creature, which removes it from the battlefield unattaching all equipment and auras. When Godsend looks at the name of the exiled card, the Spy Kit is no longer modifying the name, so it only has the one name, and only stops opponents from casting cards with the one name.
