Pharika Infinite Combo?
Asked by BolshevikMuppet 11 years ago
Can anybody help me explain this combo involving Pharika, God of Affliction ? It involves: Pharika + Life Chisel + Dark Prophecy + Cadaverous Bloom + Grim Guardian + one colored mana = (allegedly) you win the game. I've been trying to figure this one out and, please, I'm new to forums so if this isn't the right place for this can you tell me where?

Well I'll pitch in my observation :P
So Pharika makes a 1/1 token, which you can sac with Life Chisel to gain one life. Dark Prophecy would then let you draw a card and lose that one life. Cadaverous bloom can then be used to pitch the card drawn from Dark Prophecy to make another token,. Grim Guardian would then deal 1 to your opponent every time you make a token.
Knowing how the interact, I;d say we do this, starting with all needed cards on the field, and the colored mana would be a swamp
1: Cad-Bloom for 2 green2. Pharika makes a 1/1 enchantment token3. Grim Guardian Deals 1 damage to your opponent4.Life Chisel sacs the token to give you 1 life5. Dark Prophecy triggers and you draw and lose 1 life
You now have the same amount of life and number of cards you had at the start, allowing you to use Cad-Bloom again to get black mana this time. Theoretically, as long as you alternate what color mana Cad-Bloom makes, you can do this combo as many times as you want. As long as you have more cards left in your deck than your opponent has life, you can carry on until their life total is 0

keep in mind that you need a creature in the graveyard (your graveyard) to activate pharika. so maybe not infinite because you need the creatures in the yard to do it

it's a neat little combo. I may just use it if I make a deck in those colors

Cadaverous Bloom can only make GG or BB. Pharika, God of Affliction needs BG to activate. I don't think this works, unless I'm missing some Oracle text.

This combo is limited by the number of creature cards currently in your graveyard (and also the cards left in your library). Whoever was trying to tell you this is "infinite" was mistaken.

You have 1xB in you pool at start you use Cat Bloom to make the first time GG having BGG in pool use BG for token. G left in pool now Bloom gives BB. GBB in pool GB for token. B left in pool. Repeat.

Claws of Gix +Pharika, God of Affliction + Dark Prophecy +Cadaverous Bloom +Grim Guardian . Ok, so you start out with a Snake or two. You sac a Snake for a life, then lose a life and draw a card, pitch two cards for BBGG, make two Snakes, and repeat. Your opponent loses a life each time.

Claws activated ability costs 1 mana. Viscera Seer . It's also helpful to have Thassa's Devourer on your field as it mills you 2 every time a snake enters, so you'll have a steady supply of creatures in the grave to exile.

Rules questions should be asked in the Q&A (linked in the header bar). I can't move this thread there, so it's going to the orphanage.
