Phantasmal Image + Undying + Hex Parasite

If I have a Phantasmal Image in play that's a copy of Geralf's Messenger and the Phantasmal Image already has a +1/+1 counter on it from an undying trigger -- if I were to target it with the ability of Hex Parasite to remove its +1/+1 counter, does the Hex Parasite ability resolve before the Phantasmal Image is sacrificed? Trying to find out if I can keep its undying trigger alive. Thanks all!
Sorry, the Phantasmal Image dies.
Targeting the Hex Parasite's ability at the Phantasmal Image will trigger its ability, placing the sacrifice trigger on top of the stack. This means that the Phantasmal Image will be in the graveyard by the time Hex Parasite's ability resolves.
If, for some reason, you decide to Stifle the triggered ability, then it'd work though!

When you target the Image with Parasite's ability, the "sacrifice me" ability triggers, and is put onto the stack on top of the Parasite's ability. That means the "sacrifice me" ability will always resolve first, and the counter will still be there when it dies.
