Odric, Lunarch Marshal

I thinking to put Odric, Lunarch Marshal in my deck, so her is the question:Its effect is valid only if a creature that I control have the ability in the card or it is valid for a equipment ability?Example:

I have one Ajani's Pridemate equiped with Basilisk Collar, so if the Odric, Lunarch Marshal enter in the battlefield all my creatures will gain Deathtouch and Lifelink?

Your creature WOULD get the abilities at the beginning of combat. Equipment/auras/etc. grant the creature the keyword ability(s) as if the creature naturally had it(them).
