Asked by seeyaflying 11 years ago
Can I have a 1x Liliana of the Dark Realms1x Liliana of the Veil1x Liliana Vessall in the same Commander Deck? Didn't know how this works because of the different names.

So can you only have 1 in play. But you can have multiple in your deck in regular commander.

Yes, that's exactly what it means. For example, I run Tezzeret the Seeker and Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas in my deck Sydri and her metal army.

For the purposes of EDH/Commander deck construction, only the name and if they have the supertype basic matter.

Please link all cards in your question.
Liliana of the Dark Realms
Liliana of the Veil
Liliana Vess
Also, please remember to select an answer.

Yes, the singleton rule only cares about cards with the same name. The Planeswalker Uniqueness rule however DOES care when they're in play.
That said there is a EDH variant called Planeswalker EDH where your commander is a planeswalker and I believe you can only have that copy be your commander.
Oh, and remember to link the cards in question: Liliana of the Dark Realms , Liliana of the Veil , Liliana Vess
