Interaction between Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider and Capricopian
Asked by CamraMaan 2 years ago
Does Capricopian's wording prevent Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider from triggering, due to my opponent controlling the activated ability...? Thanks in advance!
Vorinclex has a replacement effect for how counters are placed on creatures. It doesn't have a triggered abilityy of its own.
When an opponent activates the ability of Capricopian, they control the ability despite the fact that you control the Capricopian.
Your opponents can still activate Capricopian's ability while you control Vorinclex, but since it is them putting a counter on a permanent, they instead put 0 counters on it. However, the ability still resolves. Capricopian will have no counters put on it, then the player who activated the ability can reselect what the Capricopian is attacking.

Or do I still control the ability, even though it is activated by an opponent...?
