Inexorable Tide

I have Inexorable Tide and Mizzix of the Izmagnus on the battlefield and no experience counter.

I cast Merchant Scroll - Do I get 1 or 2 experience counters?

Yes, if you arrange the triggers properly.

When you cast the spell, Mizzix and Tide both trigger and want to be put on the stack at the same time. Since you control both triggers, you get to choose the order in which they enter the stack and subsequently resolve.

If you let Mizzix's trigger resolve first, you will have gain an exp counter, which you can proliferate with the second trigger.

If you let Tide resolve first, you will not have an exp counter to proliferate.
