How do multiple Mentor Triggers function?

If I have two 3 power mentor creatures and a 2 power creature, and attack with all of them, can I put both mentor counters on the 2 power creature or does the second trigger fizzle due to the creature no longer having lesser power?

Neotrup is right. abilities that target will check the legality of the target upon resolution. its the same reason why if someone were to target a creature with Terminate, the creature can be saved via something like Blossoming Defense.

The second one fizzles. The target has to be legal (have less power) both when it triggers and when it resolves.
