Hoarding Dragon's triggered ability when Exiled

So, Hoarding Dragon 's second triggered ability works when he's exiled? Or do I simply lose the artifact?

If Hoarding Dragon is exiled then its second ability will never trigger and you will lose it barring karn or Pull from Eternity . This is even true if it is killed and put into exile through a replacement effect, Rest in Peace or Leyline of the Void

"Dies" specifically means "goes to the graveyard from the battlefield". Any other kind of zone change won't trigger a "dies" ability.
