Green permanents?

Do forests count as green permanents. I need to know because that will make a world of defference in my deck Flood of Elves. Specifically for the card Drove of Elves

lands are colorless unless they have an effect that specifies otherwise such as Dryad Arbor .

I don't know how to post the EXACT one from the future sight set or else I would but you can view the Gatherer database here: http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=136196

No, lands are almost always colourless.

A card's color is determined by either its mana cost, its color indicator symbol (the dot in the type-line on the back of double-faced cards like Garruk, the Veil-Cursed  Flip etc.) or a characteristic defining ability that specifically sets its color (Ghostfire ). Lands don't have any of these, so they're just colorless (Dryad Arbor is special, because it has a color indicator symbol).
