Faith's Reward + Lotus Bloom
Asked by Savidlin 10 years ago
If you have one or more Lotus Blooms in your graveyard and you play a Faith's Reward, can you sacrifice the Lotus Blooms without suspending them for 3 turns?

Also, remember they have to have gone to your graveyard this turn.

Reference the potent 'Eggs' combo deck that had key pieces banned last year. This was a key synergy of the deck.
Channel Fireball on Second Sunrise banning.
DaCeltics' copy of one of the winning lists.

That is exactly what happens. The deck for Cifka posted above was the most brutal control deck I've ever seen in terms of sheer boredom. Cifka piloted it great but after it's success thats when a bunch of people tried to run it which created a lot of instances of 20 min turns and nothing happening.
That's what got the card banned. Not the actual power of it. Though it is quite powerful

Yeah the eggs list ended up causing the same issue that Sensei's Divining Top did, which is overly long turns and games that don't finish. That said, cifka made it seem like the list was unbeatable as well.

Nigeltastic~ that's because he spent hours upon hours testing it. I remember seeing an interview with him during that Pro Tour where he said that. It was something to the effect of days worth of testing almost non stop. and that didn't even count the initial design phases of the deck.

This should be in the Q&A in the header above, and yes I believe so, because they are returned to the battlefield, not cast from your hand.
