Exactly what does Cast a Zombie mean in regards to Diregraf Colossus?

Diregraf Colossus last effect to summon a zombie token I'm just curious to exactly what "cast a zombie spell" means. I assume it's means on zombie creatures but what about stuff that comes back from the graveyard like Haunted Dead is it getting recasted from the graveyard? And Prized Amalgam when it comes back from let's say Haunted Dead would Diregraf Colossus trigger off them or is it only when you cast zombie creatures from your hand and or effects like Gisa and Geralf who can let you cast from the graveyard?

To cast a spell is to move it to the stack from wherever it is (usually your hand, but sometimes other zones), make all the decisions it calls for, and pay the costs. In your examples, Haunted Dead is being put directly onto the battlefield by its activated ability and Prized Amalgam is being put directly onto the battlefield by its triggered ability. Neither is being "cast", namely because the abilities don't specifically say they're being "cast". They won't trigger Diregraf Colossus when they return to the battlefield this way.

Gisa and Geralf do allow you to actually "cast" a zombie from the graveyard. If you wanted to cast Prized Amalgam with their help, for example, you would move it from the graveyard to the stack and pay mana symbol 1mana symbol umana symbol b, then everyone would get a chance to make responses before it resolves. This would trigger Diregraf Colossus.
