Esix and Blade of Selves

Asked by LordVonChimp 4 years ago

If I have Esix on the board, and swing with a creature that has Blade of Selves attached, does the effect of Esix overwrite the exile effect of blade of selves?

As long as no other tokens were made prior to this activation, I would be able to make the tokens copies of something else, but I'm not sure if the Exile effect would still be a thing too?

No, Esix, Fractal Bloom only changes the characteristics of the tokens themselves. The tokens created by Blade of Selves will be whatever you chose with Esix but will still be tapped and attacking the same players as they would have otherwise been, and they will still be exiled at end of combat.

In the future, you can link to cards by doing a little something like this:

[[Esix, Fractal Bloom]]

That becomes Esix, Fractal Bloom , and in this way we can all be on the same page about what the card(s) in question do(es).

All this and more can be found in the "Formatting tips" beneath the comment box. Thanks!
