Equipped Artifacts and Creature Abilities?

Asked by RockerRyan 13 years ago

I have out a VorapedeMTG Card: Vorapede which is equipped with Trepanation BladeMTG Card: Trepanation Blade. My opponent uses Liliana of the VeilMTG Card: Liliana of the Veil's second ability, causing me to sacrifice a creature. When I sacrifice my Vorapede, what happens to my Trepanation Blade?

Secondly, can I ever unequip an artifact and equip it to another creature I control?

I have out 5 creatures. One of them is Blood ArtistMTG Card: Blood Artist. My opponent uses Day of JudgmentMTG Card: Day of Judgment. How much life do I gain, and he lose?

1st question

When a creature leaves the battlefield for any reason, all equipment is unequipped, and all auras attached are put into the GY.

2nd question

You can never unequip for the sake of it. You may, at any time you could cast a sorcery, equip it to another creature you control by paying the equip cost.

3rd question

You gain 5, he loses 5, assuming those 5 creatures are the only ones on the field. They all die at the same time and Blood ArtistMTG Card: Blood Artist "sees" them leave play.
