Eight-and-a-Half-Tails, how protection interacts with auras and equipment

Ok, so say I've got Eight-and-a-Half-Tails suited up with Ethereal Armor and Godsend . My opponent naturally starts slinging spot removal my way, say a Murder So I simply give Eight and a Half Tails protection from white, then turn the Murder white. What happens to the white Aura and Equipment attatched to him?

They fall off. Ethereal Armor goes to your graveyard and Godsend simply becomes unattached.

Well that is unfortunate... Looks like I'll need to find some more recursive enchantments or just better equipment

They will fall off. Part of protection means the creature with pro white can't be equipped or enchanted by artifacts and Auras of the pro color. Ethereal Armor would go to the graveyard and Godsend would simply be unattached.
