You can't choose colors that aren't part of your general's color identity either; if you activate Rupture Spire , you have to pick Green or Blue.
The rule about colorless would come into effect if your lands were turned into mountains such as with Blood Moon ; then your nonbasics would be Mountains that produce colorless mana.

The rule from the EDH website:
"A card's colour identity is its colour plus the colour of any mana symbols in the card's rules text. A card's colour identity is established before the game begins, and cannot be changed by game effects.
The Commander's colour identity restricts what cards may appear in the deck.
A deck may not generate mana outside its colours. If an effect would generate mana of an illegal colour, it generates colourless mana instead."
Since black is not in the color identity of your general, no land or effect you control may produce black mana under any circumstances. Therefore, you cannot pay costs that require black mana to activate, meaning you could not level up a Guul Draz Assassin .

This rule has changed as of January 18, 2016. You can now produce mana of a color different from you Commander's color identity.

No you can't. In EDH if any land or any source would produce mana of a color that is not in your generals casting cost, in your case black it becomes colorless mana instead of the original intended color.
