Draft rules
Asked by harrydemon117 11 years ago
I know that your min deck size is 40 and how the drafting portion works, but what about limitations on cards in the deck? If I draft more than 4 of a card can I put all of them in or do they hold the same rules as for 60 card decks?

There is no limitation on this regard. The limit of four per card applies only to constructed fotmat.

To combine those answers, "the 4-card limits does not apply in [Limited] formats." It "applies only to Constructed formats."

essentially in drafts, the only rule is 40 cards at a minimum, other then that just make sure you follow the basic stuff; 1 card/pack passed to you, make sure you pass in the proper direction, keep the cards facing down (courtesy thing more than a rule), remove lands/tokens if applicable (some places say you keep the token/land of your pack, some pool it, it depends the shop) and other things like that i'm sure you know

So I went 3-1-1 and got 6th place (barely in the prize pool) at my local draft. I ended up going with B/W as my first two picks had Liturgy of Blood and a Sengir Vampire and a Serra Angel .
I didn't see one Pacifism but I DID get a Doom Blade and 2 Quag Sickness .
Went pretty well for my first draft and my only loss came from a GW deck that was lucky enough to get 3 Pacifism s and got 2 in game 1 and all 3 game 2 by turn 10 for a lockdown.
