does Boros Reckoner work this way
Asked by treevore 12 years ago
if i swing with him and he gets blocked, then before hand i instantly give him lifelink. can i direct the dmg to him over and over again gaining infinite life? as in 2 dmg is dealt to him, deal dmg back to him because i target him, and while this cycle is going he dealing dmg thus gaining life in the process. correct??

If he's indestructible then that's fine. No amount of marked damage will destroy him, so you can do this as many times as you want.
Note that you do have to stop the loop eventually, and you can't say you gain "infinite" life. Just pick your favorite big number and say you're doing the loop that many times.

If Boros Reckoner is indestructible, then this loop will work. It is a legal target for its own ability, and any damage dealt to it will trigger that ability. The loop recurs as long as you target him with each new instance of the ability.

actually ill be using Boros Reckoner Frontline Medic and or Boros Charm for the indestructible, and Swift Justice for the lifelink. way cheaper and easier to do since the opponent wont expect it. cuz th combo can be seen on the board, its too be a surprise combo

I understand. But I can't pull Swift Justice form a Gatecrash booster. That's why I chose the Guildmage for lifelink.

You think boros reckoner is gonna get nerfed or something to avoid this? Although i believe the "problem" is with lifelink's description.

A 3-card combo that doesn't actually end the game isn't very dangerous. There's no reason to do anything to Reckoner or any other of the cards involved.

also i forgot to add that this all takes place while he is indestructible as well
