Do forests that become creatures remain forests?

Asked by Stratium 8 years ago

In one of my decks I have Hunting Wilds and Nissa, Worldwaker, both have the ability to turn a basic forest into a creature that is still a land. But the deck heavily relies on having plenty of forests eg. Dungrove Elder, Primal Bellow, Blanchwood Armor. Would these cards still benefit from to changed forest cards?

If a card which animates a land says that "It is still a land" or something similar (as with Hunting Wilds and Nissa, Worldwaker), then the land also keeps its land types (such as Forest).

Thank you so much for the quick reply. I honestly was expecting the worst. I'm really happy Nissa, Worldwaker works for my deck. Thank you
