Deadeye Navigator and Sower of Temptation
Asked by lendrick 11 years ago
well, the question is simple, if I cast Deadeye Navigator with a Sower of Temptation on the battlefield controling an creature of my opponent, then soulbond with his creature, and pay to blink it, after that even if Sower of Temptation leaves the game, I'll control his creature?
(sorry any misspelled word =P)
No. When Sower of Temptation leaves play as a result of Deadeye Navigator 's effect exiling it will then return the creature to its owner's control, allowing you to nab either the same creature or a new one.

And I misread and thought you were soulbounding the deadeye with the sower. My mistake.

I also believe you may be able to stack the triggers in such a way as to gain control of every creature your opponent controls. I would have to try it out in game to confirm.

Yes, it does seem like it, since the creature enters the battlefield as an entirely new creature with no relation to the previous one

Yes. The same is true for Restoration Angel, Cloudshift, and so forth. Because Deadeye Navigator exiles a creature with whom he is soulbond (any creature you control upon his entering the battlefield or which enters with him in play), you do not need to own the creature. Because his ability returns the creature to play under your control, it becomes permanently yours, regardless of ownership.
Also, that's a neat trick ;D
