Copies made of The Sixth Doctor copies
Asked by Last_Laugh 2 days ago
I know tokens don't normally have a cmc unless they're the result of copying a permanent spell. Do further token copies (of the tokens with a cmc from the 6th Dr.) from a source like Romana II or Rhys the Redeemed still copy the cmc or are they 0 cmc tokens per usual?

The copies will all have the same mana cost as the original.
A copy effect copies all of the copiable characteristics of the original object, unless there's something it specifically says it doesn't copy (e.g. Quicksilver Gargantuan doesn't copy the original's P/T and The Sixth Doctor's effect doesn't keep the Legendary supertype). Whatever characteristics a token is created with are its copiable characteristics, so if a copy effect created a token with a mana cost then any further copies of that token will also have that same mana cost.
