Charging Badger + Archetype of Finality + Knight of Glory
Asked by Warxuaroz 10 years ago
I have a Charging Badger and Archetype of Finality on the field and my opponent has Knight of Glory attacking. I block with the Badger. Since its origin is black, does the deathtouch effect work, or not?
No, and for 2 reasons.
Archetype of Finality
is worded such that Charging Badger
has the deathtouch
ability.
Protection prevents deathtouch
by the merit of it preventing damage. It doesn't stop death-touch directly. even if the killing ability was the ability of the archetype, i.e. "whenever a creature you control deals damage to another creature, kill that(the other) creature" protection wouldn't apply.
remember DEBT
Damage
Enchant/Equip

@Sam_I_am
With how his question is worded, I think you mean "Yes, deathtouch still works", not "no".

@goblinslnc it was more of a "no, knight of glory is not immune to it"

Roger. Just wanted to make sure we were clear to the OP.

Your creature with deathtouch is green. It doesn't matter that the ability was given by a black source, the source dealing damage with deathtouch is green (not black)
