Cabal Coffers and Contamination

I was at a tournament (sorry, league) and this gentleman tells me that Cabal Coffers and Contamination together make it so that coffers only produces 1 mana instead of 6 (with 6 swamps in play).
Is this true? he should me a website and it said yes, then another website said no. Can anybody provide clarity?

Contamination specifies that lands produce rather than any other type or amount. So yes, Cabal Coffers will turn 2 mana of any color into instead of black equal to your swamps.
