can you redirect/shunt Ashling the Pilgrim?

As the titles says. When I place a third counter on Ashling the Pilgrim , could I play something like Shunt or Redirect to bounce my damage to the enemy player as well? Meaning he/she would take double damage from it and I am unharmed.

Shunt and Redirect both can only target spells, not abilities, so that wouldn't work. Moreover, Ashling's ability does not target, so even if there was a card that could change the target of abilities, it would not work.

If you could give Ashling Lifelink, it would basically negate your damage plus gain you life from your opponent, but it would not double the damage against them.

You could Captain's Maneuver to make that damage go to them but it is a bit mana intensive.
