Can I Cheese Grave Scrabbler's ETB?

Let's say I use Skirge Familiar to Madness Grave Scrabbler. In response to the ETB trigger, can I sacrifice Scrabby to Thermopod and retrieve it with it's own ability, or do I have to have a second Scrabbler in the yard for the combo?

I really want to see the deck that uses both Skirge and Thermopod. Sounds like lots of fun...
On topic: You choose targets as a spell/ability is put on the stack. So once you receive priority after Scrabbler's triggered ability has been put on the stack, you'll already have chosen the target for the ability. But only at that point you'll be able to sacrifice Scrabbler to Thermopod.
Tldr: You'd need a second Scrabbler in the grave.
