Can Gods Willing protect me against Supreme Verdict?

Asked by FlashBash21 11 years ago

In my Esper Deck I (Like all other esper decks) use Supreme Verdict . In my sideboard I have Gods Willing and I was wondering if it could protect me against Verdict because its not really countering its protecting.

no, protection doesn't work that way. It's this way: DEBT.

D. Damage

E. Enchant/Equip (or A. Attach)

B. Blocked by

T. Target

Supreme Verdict does none of these things (nor do any wraths except red ones like Anger of the Gods , they do damage).

Protection prevents the following four things: Damage, Enchanting/equipping, Blocking, and Targeting (or DEBT). Supreme Verdict does none of those things, so Gods Willing will not stop your creature from being destroyed.
