Brago + Spark Double = nonbo? Timing of choosing targets
Asked by yant0028 5 years ago
My understanding is that 2 attacking Brago's are pretty useless, since their "deals combat damage" trigger will be put on the stack at the same time, which means targets will have to be chosen at that point. Then when the first instance resolves, all flickered permanents will enter as "new objects" and the other Brago trigger targeting any of those permanents will have essentially lost their targets. Am I correct?
Same thing applies to Helm of the Host copies attacking at the same time I would imagine. If I want to double up on Brago triggers, then I'm limited to giving him Double Strike or copying the trigger via something like Strionic Resonator.
Thanks in advance!

I'm assuming that they are talking about the infinite Brago triggers you get from 2 mana in rocks and a Strionic Resonator by blinking the rocks and Resonator and just not letting the first resolve until you are done making copies.

Thank you for confirming, Boza, and to you as well Gidgetimer—That's precisely what I meant, but I realize now that the way I worded it (and left out key parts) made it confusing with the Resonator.
Anyway, I think I just found one of my cuts for Brago in Spark Double. Thanks again!

Yes, this is correct. Basically, if the same event gives you multiple Brago, King Eternal triggers, all but one are useless. If you can get extra triggers that are can allow each trigger to resolve, like double strike for example, it will work.
Note, Strionic Resonator will not double brago triggers it does not allow the original ability to resolve prior to it.
