3 cardo combo synergy question

Asked by VyseArcadia8 2 years ago

I discovered I may have a potentially really nasty combo, however I'm not 100% sure if the synergy works out the really nasty way, or no big way. I'm hoping someone could help me. The three cards are the following: Rafiq of the Many Cold-Eyed Selkie Righteous Authority I know that with all 3 out, Selkie's draw ability would trigger twice due to gaining double strike. What I'm wondering is if Selkie's power and toughness will be readjusted between between first strike damage and normal strike damage due to drawing cards and having righteous authority equipped.

To link cards, you'll need two brackets on each side of the card--four total.

So, Rafiq of the Many, Cold-Eyed Selkie, and Righteous Authority are the cards in question.

Authority's ability is called a static ability; it doesn't function using the stack and will constantly update to fit the current criteria it reads.

Thus, if you have 1 card in hand, the Selkie will hit once, draw you 2 cards, then hit again and draw you four.

In the future, the "Rules Q&A" section at the top of the page (or in the drop-down list from the three lines on mobile) is the place for thie sort of thing. Thanks!

I fixed the brackets. Thank you. That's how I thought the combo worked. I wasn't 100% sure though. The deck that's in is an exalted deck. The reason why I asked was I could see it as a high risk, high reward type combo for a potential endgame game play. Particularly if combined with Finest Hour

VyseArcadia8: Since it's clear you got a satisfactory answer to your question and there are no follow-ups or corrections to be made, I marked it as the "Accepted answer" so this topic can move out of the list of unanswered questions. It looks like this wasn't originally posted in the "Rules Q&A" section, so you probably didn't see the "Mark as Answer" button earlier. In the future you can use that button to mark the response you feel best answers your question.

Thank you. This was my first ever post on tapped out. I didn't see the rules q&a section. I appreciate all of your patience and helping me learn to navigate the site better
