Will the Return to Lorwyn Use the Day/Night Mechanic?

WotC has revealed that MtG is returning to Lorwyn/Shadowmoor at some point in the near future, so I believe that that set would be absolutely perfect for the day/night mechanic that WotC introduced in the third Innistrad block, since that mechanic would be excellent for depicting the transition between Lorwyn and Shadowmoor.
What does everyone else say, about this? Will the return to Lorwyn use the day/night mechanic? I certainly am interested to hear your thoughts, about this subject.
Yeah, isnt it a 15 year cycle or something? Oona was responsible for the shift previously. I hope that they do not change the lore of the realm that drastically personally, even though I adore Day/Night

While I agree it does sound like a cool idea, the lore from the Lorwyn/Shadowmoor blocks makes it clear that curse was ended by a team led by the Sapling of Colfenor.

It should also be noted that Mark Rosewater hates Day/Night as a mechanic. While the most recent Storm Scale data lists the mechanic as a Six, this data was from a 2022 Blogatog post shortly after the mechanic came out. At a convention in November of last year, Rosewater clearly changed his position some--he stated he believes it is the sixth worst mechanic in the game's long, long history. That is pretty damning, especially when you remember there are 176 keyword abilities and 55 ability words, so he hated Day/Night enough to list it as worse than 225 other mechanics.
Given the timeline of development, I suppose it is possible Day/Night was already in the works for Lorwyn before he changed his mind, but, given the other issues mentioned on this thread, the generally negative view the community has on the mechanic, and Rosewater's personal disdain for it, I would be really, really surprised if it made a return here (or anywhere).

There was a reddit thread about it some time ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/magicTCG/comments/pk9toz/the_dayboundnightbound_mechanic_is_the_perfect/

From a design perspective, it might make sense if the visit is just one block. However, the transition between Lorwyn and Shadowmoor did not occur on a day/night cycle.
