Best set(s) for a chaos league?

Hi all! I have an issue I'd like to crowd-source. My drafting group is holding a "Chaos" event. Basically you pick 6 packs of any set you want, be it 6x of the same or 6x different sets, and square off against the other players. Here's the catch: The first 3 packs will be drafted, and then for the next event a week later, the other 3 packs are added in to make a sealed pool. So my question to you all is: What is the best set(s) to pick for this format and why?
Thanks in advance.

From a simply power level Modern masters would be the best for the 3 added in later. If you don't want to do that Innistrad and Avacyn Restored both have good cards and are pretty available. From a fun perspective I would say a Timespiral block draft set would be fun to add to the draft.

You could go for 6 fallen empires and pray to the fallen kings for 6 Hymn to Tourach ...
But otherwise, Modern Masters+Conspiracy+Innistrad/Avacyn restored

Modern masters is definitely an effective compromise. What is it about innistrad that would make it so good?
I was debating mirrodin block, for the simple reason affinity was so good and every set has artifacts (to varying degrees), so synergy shouldn't be hard to get. Thoughts?

I would pick Alpha and two packs of Unhinged. Alpha gives you access to shenanigans like Forcefield , ante cards that get removed from your deck before playing (thus giving you a less than 40-card deck), with Dark Ritual and Lightning Bolt at common.
Unhinged has Gleemax , Mox Lotus , Richard Garfield, Ph.D. , and Booster Tutor .

Yeah, the group was pretty clear, no "un"-sets. I think they live in fear of hearing "in response, I remove my pants". (see 'denimwalk').

in order of personal taste and favor:
1) modern masters will provide some of the strongest individual cards, but packs are much more expensive.
2) innistrad in my opinion was the most fun set to draft. it provided a large amount of interesting strategies for drafting and deckbuilding.
3) shards of alara provided a lot of multi color cards and lower rarity mana fixing.
4) rise of the eldrazi, while not my favorite set, is also considered to be a complex interesting draft set.
5) core sets are usually pretty boring from a flavor perspective, but they provide a good baseline of the power level of cards, and can show players a general idea of what different colors "should" be doing, i.e. green dropping fatty creatures, blue having evasive threats, black removal, etc. i'd vote against a core set as far as being interesting to draft, but they could provide enough solid filler cards to round out the sealed portion of the event.
