What can Blue decks do to stop Enchantments?

Is there anything beyond good 'ol countering in Blue to deal with enchantments? I run a blue-red deck, so I have stuff on hand for dealing with artefacts, but Arrest is giving my problems.

The Q&A is for rules-related questions. You should post questions like these in the forums to get more answers and keep the discussion going.

To answer your question, blue doesn't really have many options. You're pretty much limited to bouncing and countering unless you splash another color; blue and red traditionally don't do anything with enchantments. Green and white are enchantment killers.

If you're planning for standard, I would suggest Mizzium Skin . You give hexproof and their enchantment becomes useless, but this only works if they're targeting your stuff, obviously.(Like with Arrest )

for strategy I would say as far as blue goes your going to need two cards. one to return to hand and one to counter. This may seem like a waste of cards in a deck but don't forget that they are going to want to play that enchantment if it is important. So as long as you keep enough mana to counter it they are not going to want to play it. Sometimes even if you don't have a counter. A good bluff helps. :)

Better yet just return your creature to your hand and play it again. I believe that this will take care of your enchantment problem. You will not have to search long and hard to find a blue card to return things to your hand. Find good enough ones and you might be able to protect your key cards from horrible things along the line of Wrath of God . Though you will have to wait to play them again.

Vanishment + Mind Sculpt or another cheap mill card always works for me.
