Now this is a thread just on asking a few silly questions on Scourge of Fleets . Why does this card not just go into Unhinged/ Unglued? Now I know MTG loves giving us the sh*t end with blue and just absurd cards like this but really? Was this card meant to see draft, modern? What is your most un-liked card from Journey Into Nyx and or what is your P.O.V. on Scourge of Fleets ? GO!

Stonewise Fortifier is strictly better than Traveling Philosopher , which is good enough to play in draft. My least favorite of the block is Black Oak of Odunos . Like, wtf. In what universe is this playable? Just make it a mythic so I never see it in draft. Wasting one of my uncommon slots is bad enough.

Honestly I think you're undervaluing Scourge of Fleets a little bit in limited. If you're running a mono colored deck this guy picks up almost everything for you and gives you huge swinging opportunity. Sure, he's less ideal in a multicolor deck, but i wouldn't go as far as to say useless. Now Black Oak of Odunos , THAT card is useless.

Not being serious man, just pointing out if we're going for most useless card, there are better. Also, anyone tell me why you would use Godhunter Octopus ? Honestly that card fails on so many levels, even a flavor level. out of all 15 gods, it dies to 13. Worst. Godhunter. Ever.

I would make the argument that Black Oak of Odunos is good in limited play as an inspired enabler. And I heard of quite a few people having success with Scourge of Fleets at the JOU pre-release. I think it takes a truly skilled player to take a seemingly unplayable card and make it playable in some way or another.

I played two Scourge of Fleets at prerelease and was always happy with the draw. They won me a ton of games and helped steer my deck to an undefeated finish. Have you played with the card? Have you tested its potential in limited? Given how negative this thread is, obviously not.

It's essentially Whelming Wave on a stick, and even in 2-colour, you'll probably get all creatures with 3 toughness or less, which is most anyway. Black oak was made for inspired, and a 0/5 for 3 with that is about as good as Guardians of Meletis (except for forcing a colour) Stonewise Fortifier is good, as it can be an unkillable blocker late-game and a bear in the early game. At least forsaken drifters is a 4/2, and as has been said, it can work in dredge. I'm not saying any of these cards are good, but they're nothing to complain about. Numai Outcast on the other hand...

Numai Outcast : Taking up a slot that could have been a Sensei's Divining Top since 2004.

Scourge of Fleets seems just fine considering WotC wants to push mono color decks for a while. What seems wrong with it to you, sir?
My least favorite card in this set is probably Stonewise Fortifier . It's just such a weak effect for a way too expensive price.
