PSA: URO to be banned in Pioneer, Modern, and Historic

It's in the fineprint below the SL which contains URO.
They're also discussing to ban it in Legacy.
While at the player level I love thia but I have some specialty pack verilsion of him that was worth 40 bucks a month ago lol
On a serious note tho, thia is awesome and I cant wait to see how pioneer shakes up

Lol nope can't have UG building good decks. They ban Uro yet allow many cards that are arguably more broken to remain in the format.

I mean, of all the broken UG cards Uro is the worst. The thing is, though, that with all the card draw and ramp in the UG color pair, UG has just evolved into the best color pair anyways(where at one point there wasn't enough support, and UG was +1/+1 centered rather than draw+ramp)

I agree, if they are just going to ban any that allow the decks to function, there's no point.
They can just keep pumping out all the oppressive BW cards. 9 out of 10 games I play right now are against ridiculous BW lifegain counters, gets real old, real quick. I remember when there was ACTUAL variety in this game.

White black as a color pair only really sees play in Standard. AFAIK, the only other competitive WB list is DnT variants with Tidehollow Sculler in Modern, and even then it's not a super common list.
Also, UG has been buffed, probably too far. It's both a fun color pair, and something that Wizards didn't playtest correctly. The main problem is that the cards they've released recently just end up being able to grind out anyone. Nobody can out grind a UG deck anymore.
Of course, it's been almost 2 years so we're starting to see the UG cards that happened after all the broken stuff.
While I agree Uro is a fun card to play, it's really not healthy for any format, just because it generates so much advantage that you really can't outpace someone with a Uro on the board. It's not game breaking, it's just so good that it's already not fun to see from across the table because you know that you need to pull in your paths or you'll probably lose.
