Possibility of U/G Planeswalker

I've been a fan of U/G for sometime and have been waiting for the day were there is finally a U/G planeswalker, but to no avail. Though recently I have seen rumors that there might be a U/G planeswalker in the Theros block, Kiora Atua. Upon further research I saw she was reference in Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012, she is U/G aligned, and she generally controls leviathans, which could fit into the Theros block.

Is there the possibility for U/G in Theros? Or will I just have to keep waiting?

It's not impossible, and Kiora might coincide with the release of the enemy scry lands. We can't really say for certain, though; this will all be speculation.

Well the only two double colored planeswalkers we're currently missing are G/U and G/W so it could be quite likely one of those two or both will come out in the following sets i personally think. I do hope they fill those two color combinations but I'm kinda hoping the G/W one will come out in the next set if it does come out its already overpowered in standard atm.

There is speculation that Ajani will appear in this set as a G/W planeswalker, considering that Elspeth, Sun's Champion is W, but it's also only speculation.

I thought Dack Fayden or whatever his face is was supposed to be in this block?

@golffore297 I can see Ajani coming in as G/W. He's from Naya and has only been printed as W and R/W and he's friends with Elspeth, so I wouldn't be surprised if Ajani shows up.

I could go for another Ajani Vengeant .

I'm still wondering what coloring Dack Fayden will be it was said he'll appear in Theros but its going to be in one of the other sets as we see now. I'd be happy with Ajani Vengeant over a G/W version of him as well for two reasons I'm mainly running R/W and his second ability is amazing as well as having really annoying other abilities. His ulti would be horrid in a R/U/W deck use it then throw down Supreme Verdict or some other horrible boardwipe and that's your opponents game done. Although that's unlikely to happen it would be funny to see.

If I'm recalling lore correctly, Ajani Vengeant was R/W because he was in a furious rage over the death of his brother, so I doubt he will be partial R again unless something traumatic happens again. I think G/W makes more since since they are more pure, heroic colors and Ajani is supposed to be working with Elspeth to aid Heliod with the troubles in Theros.

I'm sure that Dack Fayden will not be made into a card. He is an IDW comic book character and he will stay that way the, best we get of him is a quote on Artificer's Hex and him in the art of Bred for the Hunt

I would love a simic planeswalker i think it could help out a lot with prophet of kruphix decks

It was stated that he was coming to Theros in the early spoilers so i do think he'll be made into a card there's even a picture of him riding a Trireme somewhere. Plus he's actually on a few more cards than just those. I dunno there might be a chance he won't become a card but it seems highly likely.

If he's a G/U planeswalker, I'd be so pumped to get one since I'm running a Simic control deck for Standard alongside a Boros Beatstick deck.

I am eager to see which direction a possible Simic planeswalker would take. Infect is definitely too fast for a planeswalker, but something midrange-ish could possibly benefit.

Mark Rosewater has confirmed Kiora Atua will be a planeswalker card. As for Ajani, this picture

certainly points to a possible sighting of him on the plane of theros.

beakedbard: if you were talking about this photo:

then you are half true. That photo is the cover of the IDW comic set to come out in late October. I don't think that because of the location he's in, he will appear as a card in that set. His comics have had him set in Innistrad and Ravnica, both when we were releasing those set, yet he was never in either of them. I think this time will be no different.

As well all of those other cards he's on were promo cards that were made to go with the comics.

Dallie, I feel like a U/G planeswalker could go in any direction of control with the blue side or power with the green side. The Simic Combine had a good mechanic with Graft and then Evolve, but I doubt that the planerswalker would fully reflect that. I think it is possible that it might have something to do with +1/+1 counters, but with Kiora controlling leviathans, I have no real idea what direction it will take if it happens.

golffore297: Counters seem possible, but Ajani already had a +1/+1 counter ability. Having a similar one seems like something Wizards wouldn't do; then again I'm no expert on planeswalkers.
