Bloodthrone Vampire and Gravecrawler

So here is the situation, if I were to have a Bloodthrone Vampire , a Gravecrawler , and say another zombie creature like Diregraf Ghoul on the battlefield. Let's say I have 3 untapped Swamp . Would I be able to do the following;
Enter battle phase, declare my Bloodthrone Vampire as an attacker, my opponent will choose to not block, then before combat damage I will activate Bloodthrone Vampire 's ability sacrifice my Gravecrawler . Then tap a Swamp , play Gravecrawler , rinse and repeat for the other two lands.
Is this legal? I am asking because I was wondering if I can basically sac/summon/sac my Gravecrawler to pump damage after declaring my Bloodthrone Vampire as an attacker. This would also be nice in situation when my Bloodthrone Vampire in blocked my a big creature

Thanks! Rayenous. Clears things up. I can however cast the sac ability on Bloodthrone Vampire if someone blocks me. I was just hoping I could multiply the effect.

Correct, you can sac the Gravecrawler once, and then re-cast it after combat is done.
Thanks for asking the question! It gave me an idea for things to look at in another deck. card:Alchemist's Refuge may end up being added to the BUG Zombie deck I'm likely to work on once Gatecrash is released.

Haha, awesome. Appreciate the quick response. Gatecrash will have the U/B guild so I guess that will be quick easy to build with new shocklands.

No. When Gravecrawler is in your graveyard and you control another Zombie, you may cast it from the grave.
All other timing and restrictions are the same. As such, it can only be played during your turn, during a main phase, and only when you have priority while nothing else is on the stack.
If you use something like card:Alchemist's Refuge, to allow yourself to cast spells as though they had flash, you would be able to do this, but that is about the only way.
