4 Loyalty abilities for planeswalkers

I was looking at the complete list of all planeswalker cards and I got to thinking that it was really cool that Jace, the Car Payment had 4 loyalty abilities. I just wanted to see if anyone else out there would want to see this again in the future, or if this is too broken...or partly responsible for JTMS's bannnig.
I think that 4 abilities is neat. Technically, Garruk Relentless has 6 abilities since he flips. Maybe if they do a chronological flashback to the pre-mending walkers and print them in a non-tournament legal set? Like strictly casual play and all the walkers would have 4 abilities. Sure it'd be expensive as balls, but not if they print it more than FtV.

If it's used again it would probably involve 3 very situational regular abilities, be costly, or maybe feature two ultimates. I'd like to see it again anyway.

One way it could be set up is
Plus ability
Set minus ability
Minus X ability
Ultimate

@The Doctor that's what my playgroup calls him so I can't take full credit lol@acbooster I think that would be the most logical format for one. Although I don't complain when it is set up as
Plus Ability
Minus X ability
Ultimate
or
Plus ability
Plus ability
Ultimate
lol

lol one of my buddies once used the same nickname for JtMS. Anyways, they made jace broken, but I would love to see a fair planeswalker with 4 abilities. 2 ultimates would be even more broken though.

In our playgroup we call him Jace, the Get F*cked, because that is pretty much what happens if someone manages to resolve him.
Otherwise, I think that it would be possible to have a fair planeswalker with four abilities. Not easy, for sure, but possible.

I usually experiment with at least one four-ability walker when I do custom set designs. The four-ability frame is not inherently broken. You just need to introduce the appropriate balance.

I don't understand why WotC don't do it more. More options=better cards. Just look at Azorius Charm Boros Charm Cryptic Command Slagstorm etc etc lol

There's a stigma attached to the four-ability walker because of JTMS. WOTC needs to be careful about their next four-ability walker's design if they want to move forward and counteract that stigma.

Although if they were willing to reprint JTMS (even in an FTV), they might be closer to doing another 4 ability 'walker.

maybe we'll see one in Theros, it's a pretty whacky/experimental set so far

If I remember correctly it was a last minute change that didn't get properly tested that made him broken. They didn't realize how good Fateseal in a control deck when combined with the ability to protect himself.
But yes, there is definitely a stigma associated with it. That's a for sure.

I like your nickname for him.
