First deck in 17 years. Looking for help! :D

Hello, I built my first deck in 17 years. It's a mono-green proliferate with Champion of Lambholt. Any advice would be appreciated.

I'd like to get it to 60 cards but I'm far from that. Think it's ok with 70 odd cards in it?

Planewide celebration is a bit overpriced for a format as fast as commander and you can do it repeatedly for cheeper with contagion engine

The ever flowing chalice(s) don't work well because you have to waste a turn powering them up or have the very weak, and in modern from what I know you can't waste a turn powring something up. The little utility you get just doesn't make up for the extra space

And the Vivien reids don't seem like they do too much for you, other than the name card being targeted removal, but you could get better removal (or ramp if that's their utility) for cheeper

I definitely think you should get somebody who plays more modern opinion too because I only play it every once in a while

I’ve added some thoughts to your deck-page. It looks like the deck will need a lot of changes to become functional - which i’m happy to help with, but makes me wonder whether you want to initially build around an existing archtype (i.e mono-green stompy) so you can get more exposure to the modern format (and so get a better understanding of what works and what doesn’t, when you do come to brew)?

I would like to get 4 Nissa, Who Shakes the World in the deck and try and ult her early with proliferate. Vivien Reid kinda a stand in for now.
flowing chalice with proliferate is really great land acceleration. Cost two to get one mana, then after a few proliferate I'm getting many manna extra a turn.

Wallaceface - I appreciate the advice. For now I'd really like advice getting my current idea to work. I'm just playing casually with friends for now. In the future I'm sure i'll think about more established and competitive deck ideas. But I'd really like to see this idea though for now.

The current game plan is to win using Champion of Lambholt to get lots of damage though uncontested.
Other concepts are having 4 Nissa, Who Shakes the World and ulting early with proliferate. Considering using Untamed Kavu. I put in some Duskshell Crawlers for now as a way to get trample.

I would say definitely say take it down to 60 cards, every card over 60 is another card that stops you from drawing your most powerful cards. I don't play a lot of modern but I think you can cut the lands down to 20 (any modern players correct Me if I'm wrong)
