I was wondering what you all think of your new commander decks? if you have only got one what do you like and dislike about it? I'd love it if you would post your deck reviews here.
we got randomly assigned them at our pre-release. I got political puppets. the deck was fun to play, but seemed a bit lacking in finishers. I didn't read the deck sheet before I started so I missed the whole 'making allies' concept behind the deck and quickly became the player everyone focused on killing in gane 1. narrowly missed the win and came second. it took absolutely ages though and I nearly decked myself!game 2 I made an ally and we beat face together, then he overwhelmed me when he countered my insurrection.the deck has plenty of draw spells and tricks up it's sleeve to keep you alive. t has alot of spells that benefit all players, and the lack of big creatures makes other players more inclined to leave you alone and beat each other up. however, when surrounded by huge scary monsters you can feel like a cat in the lions den. the deck has very few 'emergency spells' and also has a couple of burn spells that wont touch any significant threats. I can think of at least 15 cards I'd like to swap out for better effects. the deck is also fairly mana intensive, yet it only runs 34 lands. it could use a few more mana fixers. alot of spells also require 2 or more of a single colour mana to play, which can make knowing how to tap lands tricky in this 3 colour deck.
I found political puppets to be fun as a controlley-type deck but I plan on modifying it to have a couple of wrath spells for emergencies and a few big hitters. 3.5/5
devour for power <3 the mimeoplasm just flows so well with the deck

mimeoplasm is amazing. i ran zedruu the greathearted as my general (guess I should have mentioned that). I really like his abilities, kept my hand full through the game.

Heavenly Inferno is awesome but I'm just a massive Timmy. It really needs some card draw though because everyone will hate you and kill your huge stuff then you're out of steam and kind of screwed.

I've only purchased Heavenly Inferno and Political Puppets, but they seem pretty good. I think Heavenly Inferno benefits from Howling Mine if you should happen to have one, without card drawing, the deck's a drought.

mirror mastery is where its at Riku of Two Reflections is amazing i played it and thanks to some smooth talking and early ramp was able to dominate the board with my Twincast ed spells and "twin" creatures (at one point i had 18 4/4 beasts out (there was a counter war) and Chain Reaction ed after my attack to clear the field) i can't wait to make an EDH with him as the general

I had the most sucsess with devour for power,
and the least with counterpunch,
i was realy disapointed by heavenly inferno lategame but if you have a devour deck in the game you can switch to the second commander wich reanimates a random guy.
I also played mirror mastery and eve trough its a realy consistient deck but it's just not my style,
asfar as political pupets i tthink the deck works rather well, it's just unfortunate that people play numoth and landrape you.........
