Grenzo, Dungeon Warden and eldrazi?
Commander Deck Help forum

Hey! so I just did 3 drafts in a row! it was a wacky draft, BFZ, then conspiracy. Quite the hassle haha. Anyways! I got the dungeon warden and after rocken a lot of devoid and one damage cards I now crave an eldrazi deck!
What win cons could I attempt or go for with eldrazi? I was thinking just going grixis since that's the main 3 eldrazi (I mean green is pretty big too just not as huge). But if I could make rakdos work that would be better! let me know any ideas/themes/ or anything :)

Most Eldrazi have on-cast triggers, so Grenzo dumping them onto the battlefield won't cause those abilities to trigger. Eldrazi in general aren't a bad idea, though, if you can find enough mana to ramp Grenzo to 10-15 mana.

I would recommend running Animar, Soul of Elements as your commander. He's not very cheap but he allows you to drop a few low cost creatures and then start dropping huge eldrazi for nothing. If you're looking for a more budget option then you definitely want to run Rakdos, Lord of Riots. You should check out a few deck lists for each of these commanders to see which playstyle is more to your liking but I honestly wouldn't recommend running any commander other than those two for an eldrazi deck.

Hm.... Grenzo seems impractical then :/ to achieve 10-15 isn't that hard, but mana rocks can be expensive and the cheep ones are rarely worth the card slot.
Lord of the Riots seems great! I could use the cards I got during the BFZ draft. I'll make a deck focused on pinging opponents and staying under the radar. Then ping for a large amount and cut in one of my 8-15 drops to give me advantage. Plus if I run a fair amount scions that should help too!
And yeah animar would be too expensive :/

Just make sure you run a decent amount of burn spells and cards that do direct damage so you can always drop Rakdos as soon as possible, if you do then you can start dropping eldrazi by turn 5. Rakdos also does a good bit of damage himself for his mana cost so even just playing him will put your opponents on a clock.
