Few Quick Updates —June 23, 2020
I feel like Knight of the Ebon Legion is the new mandatory 1-drop for vamps. I was on the fence about 3 mana to buff but his ability to apply offensive or defensive pressure is nuts now that I've tried him out.
On the fence regarding Noble. He's fantastic as a turn 1 play but he's nonblack and now has competition from Ebon if I'm pressed for space.
Aside from bringing back Gatekeeper of Malakir
or adding Thoughtseize, my biggest maybe right now is easily Champion of Dusk. And it takes something really fantastic like Champ or Malakir Bloodwitch for me to seriously entertain the thought of a 5-drop. But the twist is Sorin, Imperious Bloodlord gives me the lifeblood I need to drop big vamps faster.
Been in a bit of a rut lately. I started to feel like I wasn't doing a good job of modernizing this deck. Getting into Pioneer where vamps are at least viable has given me new motivation.
