Quick Update. —Feb. 16, 2023

I swapped Species Specialist for Ohran Frostfang. The thinking is Frostfang will generate more value because all of my mites will have death touch and touch in addition to card draw capability. The on demand card draw from specialist would require me to have a sac outlet on the board so it seemed less effective for the overall course of the game. Even if it’s greatly effective if all the pieces are in play.

Use of the infect-mechanic and poison counters are banned in my playgroup. But, if I would ever build an infect deck, it would definitely look very much like this; well done on this brew!

Hello! I'm following your updates from the start because I've bought a precon that I want to upgrade and you what you're doing is basically what I have in my mind. I don't know if you've considered the idea to put in there Ohran Frostfang, it is an alternative but Odric, Lunarch Marshal still gives more value also with the commander on the field so I guess something else should be cut in case you want to include it. However, thank you for your work :)

NV_1980 thanks for the kind words! I’m surprised my play group is letting me run this tbh. But, I got excited about this set so I was probably gonna do it anyways :).

PX125, Ohran Frostfang I believe is a good addition to the deck. I think the obvious cuts would be either Species Specialist or Contaminant Grafter. I wouldn’t rely on the card draw so much but definitely the death touch is a nice addition. I think Contaminant Grafter would be the easier one to cut since you’re only drawing 1 card a turn and proliferating only if grater does damage, also giving mites trample isn’t that great without Craterhoof.

Edit: now that I’ve seen that grafter does proliferate any time any creature I control deals damage I’ll have to play test it more to see what I’d want to remove to make space for Ohran Frostfang
