A Tad Less Janky? —Nov. 17, 2022
Well, it felt like it was time for an upgrade, I had a pile of cards that were under consideration, changed just over 10, mostly for much more powerful stuff. This deck tended to win a lot of games, but it wasn't keeping up with some of the other decks in the pod, now it should be closer. The biggest change is tossing in a Preacher, which is just a stupid card like Callous Oppressor, but off-colour to boot. I pulled lots of slow/clunky stuff that was clogging my hand and even added some more ramp in. I hope the deck has enough card advantage to make use of the extra mana!
I think this can still be solidly classified as Jank, it just has more ways to actually win.
Edit: Pulled out Gift of Immortality for Teferi, Hero of Dominaria. The two don't really do entirely the same thing, but technically Teferi can tuck something to protect it before I wipe I guess? It's also card draw that works with my various abilities to do things like make tokens/draw cards. The Ult is just about never going to happen I figure, but I've been surprised before.
