TapDown Duel #4 —April 5, 2014

Watch TapDown Duel #4 HERE !

Hey Dreno33...sent an email.

That's great TitansFTW...is your name the same on Cockatrice?

Dreno33 I've become a bit confused about timings. You say that we're playing at 12 PST, but when double checking what time that is for me, I found that nowhere uses PST at the moment, and you're in PDT until November. Are you using PST or PDT?

March 30, 2014 6:23 a.m.

Matsi883 says... #4

I think half the people in America will always use PST, even when they mean PDT. Stupid Americans (even though I'm an American). We need Dreno33's conformation! but I'm pretty sure it's PDT.

Ok, I guess that makes sense. We'll just have to wait and find out.

Dreno33 says... #6

Sorry. Us stupid Americans haha. Been a habit all of my life. The duel is in 3 hours to be even more clear

March 30, 2014 12:18 p.m.

megawurmple says... #8

Ok, I got it now. It's at 1200 PDT (California time) and at 2000 GMT+1 (English time as of last night).

Dreno33 says... #9

fijord I know nothing of time zones really. I am in California and for me it is at 1200. TitansFTW seems to got it down. Listen to him. Currently, the duel is in 1 hour and 20 minutes from this post's timestamp.

Lol Dreno33, I was just going off of a website, Im getting really messed up with the time zones as well. But isnt it going to be noon in Cali in 20 minutes from now? Im in Texas, and having used to live in WA I remember there is only a 2 hour difference between us.

Ok, the game is up and running! Feel free to join as a spectator, unless you're ProfessorDucky of course. See you all there!

Hey! Sorry I've been off the messages for the last couple days (I've been busy). Currently starting up my computer. My username on Cockatrice is Mister Ducky.

March 30, 2014 2:54 p.m.

Great games guys! While game one came down to mana screw, and game two was a great side-board card; we got to see how both decks can shine in the right environments! Super decks, super builders, super games! Thank you for letting us watch.

March 30, 2014 4:26 p.m.

megawurmple says... #15

Yep, it was great fun! Game 2 was really close, and I thought he had me for a bit. Thanks to everyone who watched and organised it, and thanks to my opponent (I feel like I've said this all before).

March 30, 2014 4:28 p.m.

-Bean- says... #16

Haha, yeah, your speech was very moving. Thanks for the great games, TitansFTW, and great job building that deck! And thanks to Dreno33 for organizing it all.

megawurmple says... #17

Your deck was awesome too. When I first saw it, I thought it was a really imaginative idea, and the execution was good. I think my deck just gets the edge over decks with smaller creatures, so it was a favourable match for me. You did well, especially in game 2. I'd have been dead without that Path.

I saw that Cyclonic Rift and thought "Wow, TitansFTW is lucky he has two Torpor Orb s because if he only had one, it could get Cyclonic Rift ed away and Master of Waves could resolve." I forgot about the overload on it. Cyclonic Rift is such a boss card both at 2 and at 7 mana.

Speaking of Cyclonic Rift , it has been a centerpiece of the losing decks in TDD #2 and TDD #3.

-Bean- says... #19

Yeah, game 2 was exciting. When I looked at your deck I knew right away that Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite would pretty much end the game right away...

Vito1014 says... #20

Damn! I totally forgot about the match!

March 30, 2014 5:17 p.m.

megawurmple says... #21

Looking at your list ProfessorDucky I was thinking the same thing: if I can resolve a fatty (preferably Norn or Inferno) early on, then I can probably take the match, and that's basically how it turned out.

TitansFTW, I know right? We got online about 10 minutes before 12pm and finished filming the third time a little after 6pm. Then I left to go do something and when I got back, I noticed it had no audio, the original or rendered video. I was like . . . I quit! haha.
