As much as possible, you are going to want to play 3x and 4x playsets to increase your consistency. Example: cut the 2x Thassa's Bounty and add a couple more Tome Scour .

Don't worry so much about defense, work on building your mill to the point where you are destroying your opponents' deck before they can play.

I think one combo you could look at would be Codex Shredder , Duskmantle Guildmage , and Mindcrank .

Turn one: land + codex shredder. Turn two: land + mindcrank. Turn three: land + duskmantle guildmage. Turn four: mill their entire library/empty their life through an infinite loop.
